I would like to tell you a story:

The year is 2007. Tim is 10 and in the fourth grade of elementary school. It is a simple life; the life of a child. He is not unpopular; he has numerous friends. Even at school, which is why he is spending a lot of time with them. He is happy. But one day he makes a terrible mistake. He has always had problems making the right decisions. Thus, he turns against his best friend and sides with classmates who are not good for him. The best friendship of his life is therefore broken. Something he will never overcome.

A few years later. Tim is 15 and now attends junior high school. He has made a few new friends, amongst others in his soccer club, which he follows 2 years ago. However, he has never forgotten his mistake from the past. He seems very reserved and doesn't have as many friends anymore. But the friendships he does have are all the more important to him. He doesn't want to destroy them the way he did. But once after practice, when he gets into a war of words with his friends, he reacts impulsively. He chooses to say words out loud that leave everyone hurt. And so again, this time with wrongly chosen words, he destroys many of his friendships. Something he will try to ignore.

2015; Tim is 18. In his senior year before graduating from high school, Tim has again developed a small circle of friends. He struggles to find his way around the group, often feeling alone and out of place. Nevertheless, he remains loyal to the group because they are the only company he has in life. But one day he falls in love with the girlfriend of one of them. He knows he has no right to pursue it. Yet he decides against it. By doing so, he not only destroys a relationship, but also the last friendships he had left. Something he accepts with a weary smile.

Two years pass; Tim has just turned 21. He is near the end of his educational training, which he - half-heartedly - tries to put behind him. He hardly has any hobbies besides video games. He doesn't meet with friends anymore, as he has none. There is a fellow trainee with whom he talks during their break, but they are not friends. One day, he is invited to a party by this very colleague. He also had a lot of painful experiences with his friends in his past, so he knows how Tim must feel. But Tim decides not to go. That evening, he prefers to sit at home and look at the walls around him. He has turned his back on friendships. Something he just doesn't care about anymore.
